interdependence

Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves,  not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Philippians 2:3-4

A person's value is found in their very existence not their economic productivity.  We would do well applying this reality to all naturally occurring things whether animate or inanimate.

The dominant world culture continues to place more and more value on individualism, self sufficiency and consumerism.  We believe this world view goes against one of the most basic needs required to be fully human, depending upon one another.
